What is a "unit" of Botox?
A unit is a measurement of quantity Botox. There are several units of product injected with every needle stick.

Alas, one getting 40 units of Botox, does not need 40 needle sticks!

Because each patient's needs and facial muscles are unique, the required number of units of BOTOX® to achieve desired results will vary. Radiance Medspa uses UPP (Unit Pricing Policy) to determine the cost of a BOTOX® procedure. UPP allows patients to pay for only what they need to treat an area, rather than charging a flat rate for an area. With this method our patients know exactly how many units of BOTOX® they will be purchasing for their given treatment.

In general between the eyes or glabellar area requires about 15-25 units
Forehead requires about 12-20 units
Crows feets is about 10-20 units

This is a general guideline, our clinician will consult with you to determine your treatment plan.

Is additional treatment necessary?
We recommend a follow up visit in 2 weeks to check the result and refine if necessary. Generally, after three to four months, the Botox® effects will begin to fade and facial features will gradually return to their former state. Maintenance treatments are necessary to keep the effect of Botox® for long periods of time. In fact, as you continue to use Botox, you may notice it lasts longer.
